Nowadays, the limitations of media in geo-environmental learning present a significant challenge, as media plays an indispensable role in fostering students’ comprehensive understanding. Employing technology capable of delivering comprehensive landscape information is crucial for effective environmental education. Utilizing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and 360-degree panoramic cameras represents a judicious technological choice, which can be seamlessly integrated into virtual tours. This research aims to develop a Mobile Virtual Tour (Movie-Tour) as a medium to support learning, especially for materials regarding environmental geography. The research and development (RnD) method is used in research with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Data collection for the development of the product involved conducting a need assessment, performing validation tests and conducting trials with students. To gather field data for creating environmental geography materials for the Movie-Tour product, we utilized an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and a 360-degree stereoscopic camera. The results demonstrate that Movie- Tour is an educational medium capable of delivering an immersive learning experience and comprehensive materials, allowing for the virtual visualization of real-world conditions in the field. This capability enhances students’ engagement in exploring physical geography conditions, fosters independent knowledge acquisition, and nurtures their innate curiosity. Movie-Tour stands as a potent and practical educational tool, offering an effective and secure learning experience for students, eliminating the need for direct field visits

Integrating technology into learning has become a pivotal necessity in the digital age. This underscores the imperative for educators, serving as facilitators, to organize and implement digital technology within instructional processes adeptly. Central to this application is educators’ perceptions of the utilization of mobile digital textbooks. Crucially, this study, rooted in a qualitative research design, sought to elucidate teachers’ perceptions regarding the employment of the Mobile Digital Textbook, integrated with a STEM approach, to enhance students’ spatial thinking and Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Data collection was meticulously executed through semi-structured interviews involving fifteen geography educators from eight East Java, Indonesia, secondary institutions. With the aid of NVIVO software, the data were systematically organized and categorized based on pre-established criteria. The findings revealed a predominantly positive perception among the fifteen participants towards using the Mobile Digital Textbook with the STEM approach in fostering students’ spatial thinking and HOTS. The implications of this research underscore the significance of continuous training and support for educators in assimilating digital technology, particularly mobile digital textbooks, to elevate instructional quality and cultivate students’ advanced cognitive abilities

The rapid development of technology encourages using the latest learning media, virtual reality technology. Virtual reality technology can facilitate the study of physical geography by exploring virtual environments and being an innovation in conventional teacher-oriented learning, classrooms, printed books, and lecture methods. The research objective was to produce Geosite Interactive Virtual Technology (GeoVirtex) using the ASSURE development model and to test the practicality and effectiveness of the product in the learning process. The study results are GeoVirtex media which have been declared valid and suitable for use based on expert validators. GeoVirtex can provide immersive experiences based on constructivist ideas by providing active and independent learning to positively impact understanding and learning outcomes. Based on product trials on 85 students, the media is classified as very practical (90.87%), and the effectiveness of the media is moderate (0.38)

Tosari Village is one of the tourism-supporting villages in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area and already has Sanja Tosari Village as a tourist village. Based on survey, observation, and interview activities, Sanja of Tosari Village has problems promoting tourism villages that still utilize personal and community social media. In addition, the promotion of tourist villages has also not utilized virtual reality technology due to minimal capacity and accessibility. The solution to problem partners is assisting the development and application of smart tourism virtual reality as a medium for promoting sustainable tourism villages. The stages of developing smart tourism virtual reality start from data collection, processing, product development, and product results carried out by partners. This community service activity results in a virtual reality-based Tengger Heritage Journey as a promotional medium for Sanja Tosari Village. With this community service activity, the management of the tourist village has the experience and ability to develop and utilize virtual reality in tourism activities
